Jim Balent is an American comic book artist, writer, and publisher from Pennsylvania, best known for his work on DC Comics’ Catwoman series from 1993 to 1999. He has also drawn for Batman, Lobo, and Purgatori. After leaving mainstream comics, Balent founded BroadSword Comics, where he creates the long-running series Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose, which explores themes of Wicca and witchcraft.
