Steve Whitmire

We are thrilled to announce that Steve Whitmire will be attending Garden State Comic Fest in Vineland on November 15-16th! Steve is best known for voicing and puppeteering many of our childhood favorites including Kermit the Frog, Statler, Rizzo the Rat, Beaker, Ernie, Wembley Fraggle, Bean Bunny, and Sprocket for nearly 40 years. Since starting on THE MUPPET SHOW in 1978, Whitmire has performed in virtually every Muppet project including FRAGGLE ROCK and SESAME STREET, Whitmire’s legendary voice can also be heard in such iconic movies and shows like THE DARK CRYSTAL, LABYRINTH, THE WITCHES, DREAMCHILD, and DINOSAURS. After 19 films, 8 television series, numerous specials, multiple sound recordings, and volumes of unique live appearances, Whitmire carries forth the essential principles of Jim Henson’s lineage as the foundation for a progressive approach to the art of puppetry in today’s world.
