Don Money

Money broke into the big leagues with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1968, playing alongside shortstop Larry Bowa on the left side of the diamond. On April 10th 1971 Don hit the 1st homerun in history at Veterans Stadium. Playing for Milwaukee, he solidified his legacy, eventually becoming the franchise's first-ever fan-voted All-Star Game starter in 1978. He was praised for his versatility, capably playing third base, second base, and first base. He played in the 1982 World Series with the Brewers and wrapped up his playing career in 1983. Nicknamed "Brooks" due to his spectacular defensive skills that rivaled Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson, Money was a four-time All-Star and is a member of the Brewers Walk of Fame Big thanks to Boone for sponsoring Irving’s appearance at GSCF!
